3 influential policemen sent on compulsory retirement
The officers are – Additional IGP (Crime and Operation) of Police Md. Atiqul Islam, DMP’s Additional Commissioner of Police (CTTC) Md. Asaduzzaman, and Deputy Inspector General of Police Md. Anwar Hossain.
These three officials have been sent on compulsory retirement in three separate notifications issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday (August 21).
As per the order of the President, Dr. Mohammad Abdul Momen, senior secretary of the police branch-1 of the ministry’s Public Safety Division, signed three notifications.
The three notifications state that according to the provisions of Section 45 of the Public Service Act 2018 (Act No. 57 of 2018), they have been retired from public service in the public interest.
