5 GB bonus data must be offered to all as per announcement: Palak
State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak today said that in context to the announcement, all operators must give 5 GB of data for a period of three days. If anyone does not comply and we receive such complaints, action will be taken against them.
He said these in response to a query from the journalists after a meeting with the stakeholders of the telecommunication sector including AMTOB, BASIS, BAKCO, ISPAB, BCS, and E-CAB in the conference room of the Directorate of Post and Telecommunication at the Secretariat in the capital on Thursday (August 1).
Earlier, announcing the resumption of mobile internet after the shutdown, State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that the mobile internet customers, who had the packages or data (before the network was shut down), were personally not at fault. They could not use the internet at that time as the network was not uninterrupted. For this, customers will get 5 GB of data as a bonus only if they are connected to the 4G network.
