Andaleeve Partho, Nur, BRACU’s Asif Mahtab secure bail
A Dhaka Court today granted bail to Barrister Andaleeve Rahman Partho – President of Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP), President of Gono Odhikar Parishad and former VP Nurul Haq Nur in several cases of sabotage during the Students Against Discrimination (SAD) Movement.
The court also granted bail to former BRAC University teacher Asif Mahtab Utsho in the same case.
Their bail petition was made in the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Tuesday (August 6). After the hearing, the judge granted them bail.
Earlier, the court granted bail to more than 1,000 BNP-Jamaat leaders and activists including BNP Standing Committee member and former minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury in the same issue of sabotage case.
