Asif Akbar calls to tackle floods hand in hand

Renowned musician Asif Akbar gained fame with the album ‘O Priya Tumi Kothay’. Not just familiarity, Asif created a nationwide stir with his first album. After that, he gifted numerous songs to his fans.

Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of people of Parshuram, Fulgazi, and Chhagalnaiya upazilas in Feni have been affected by the third phase of severe floods in one and a half months. Feni-Parashuram regional road and internal roads of the upazila are closed due to inundation. The electricity connection is disconnected due to damage to the line.

Calling on the countrymen to tackle the flood, Asif Akbar wrote on social media, “Flood alert. Welcome upstream water, silt soil is ours. We will face the flood of conspiracies hand in hand, InShaAllah.”

In the comment box of that post, a person named Mahmud Hasan writes, “May Allah protect the flood-affected people. We should help those brothers whose houses have been flooded. We should inquire about them and deliver them food.”

Another person named Madiha Tisha wrote, “Sudden floods have occurred in many places including Cumilla, Feni, Noakhali, and Sylhet. I am calling to form a team from every neighborhood of the country to stand by the flood victims.”

In the words of Aziz Ullah Patwari, “Especially Fulgazi Parshuram Munsirhat of Feni is under water. If anyone can, please come forward to the rescue work with dry food, speedboat, or boat,”

Mentioned that on August 2, 17 parts of the flood control dams of the Muhuri, Kahua, and Silonia rivers were breached. The heavy rains of the past few days and water from upstream India started to enter the locality again through the erosion site on Monday (August 19) afternoon.
