Bangladesh U19 face off Nepal in ACC Asia Cup tomorrow
In a bid to make a giant stride towards the semi-final, Bangladesh Under-19 team will take on Nepal in their second match of the ACC Asia Cup tomorrow (Sunday) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in UAE. The junior Tigers overcame their first hurdle yesterday by registering a 45-run win over the new foes Afghanistan with captain Azizul Hakim Tamim leading the side from the front by hitting a century.
Nepal aren’t expected to be a serious threat for Bangladesh given the gulf of the difference between two sides in terms of strength and cricket culture. A victory in this match will help Bangladesh in advantageous position to seal the semi-final spot.
Bangladesh will take on Sri Lanka in their last match of their Group B on Tuesday. The young Tigers may get it tough to overcome the Lankan hurdle and so to avoid any hassle for the semi-final, it is imperative for them to win against Nepal. Two teams from each group will move to the semi-final. The Group A consists of India, Pakistan, hosts UAE and Japan.
