Bangladesh Women’s cricket to enter new era

The Bangladesh Women’s cricket is all set to enter a new era as the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) introduced a three-day first class tournament in the country.

The initiative was taken in a bid to achieve the Test status in the women’s cricket gradually. The first ever first-class cricket tournament for the Bangladeshi women’s cricketer is set to begin on December 21 in Rajshahi.

The whole Bangladesh was divided into four zones to take part in the tournament, much like the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL), the country’s prime first class cricket tournament for the male team. The selectors had already announced the team for those four zones—East, Central, North and South.
