CAAB Chairman visits Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport 

Air Vice Marshal Md Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan, BUP, ndc, nswc, afwc, psc, the chairman of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB ) visited the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to learn about the various preparations taken by the airport to prevent monkeypox on Sunday (18 August 2024). 


At this time, the CAAB chairman stressed on preparations against possible outbreak of monkeypox. He visited various airport security locations, discussed with the health management team and assessed the measures taken to protect the passengers.


CAAB Chairman expressed satisfaction over the steps taken at present and said, we all will prevent this contagion through joint efforts. However, he requested the cooperation of all passengers in this regard. Finally, he urged all health management teams and airport authorities to continue to work vigilantly and to give utmost importance to health protection. Besides, he distributed protective materials like gloves, masks and hand sanitizers among the officers and employees on duty.


Members (Management and Planning), Member (Administration), Member (Finance), Executive Director of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and other officials and employees of CAAB were present during the visit.


Besides, CAAB Chairman Air Vice Marshal Md. Manzoor Kabir Bhuiyan exchanged views with the officials and employees of all levels at CAAB Auditorium Sunday at 3 pm. In the meeting, he took opinions from the officers and employees on various issues and informed them about the possible solutions and called upon everyone to work unitedly for the development of CAAB through team work.
