Diplomats stand youth, urge to give importance to them in ensuing polls

Diplomats welcomed the interim government on Monday afternoon. They expressed this attitude in the briefing held at the Guest House Padma in capital. After the conversion, Foreign Affairs Adviser Touhid Hossain told the appreciation to the newsmen.
In response to a question, he said that Bangladesh is not under the control of any foreign country, the government is working for the country. This government will work till the election environment is created.
Regarding the briefing of the diplomats, he said, the ambassadors are called to inform the intentions of this government. The objectives of this advisory council are communicated to foreign diplomats. We have asked for international cooperation. Representatives of different countries have shown a positive attitude in this regard. Human rights have been discussed. Our advisory council includes people from organizations working on human rights, they have been informed. There was a discussion about Rohingya community including economy, investment, and trade.
In response to a question about the tenure of the current council, he said that the main aim of this council is to organize the country and establish a democratic government. This government will remain until change. In that case, no deadline can be said for now. It will take at least another month to talk about it.
He said that diplomats wanted young people in parliament. They say that the youth have done a great job, the next election should also have youth representatives. As we said, we have two youth representatives in our advisory council. Young people have made a huge contribution, they also have some demands. They will prevail.
The advisor said that investment was discussed in today's meeting. It has been called to give importance to the relationship of the country in the long term without giving importance to the temporary problems. The issue of Rohingya repatriation was discussed.
In response to a question, he said, Bangladesh is not under the control of anyone outside. Interim government is not for anyone. No one is working for any other country. We are all working for the country. In the meeting, we said that any kind of anarchist disorder will not be exempted.
He said that the ambassadors praised the youth and urged them to give importance to the youth in the upcoming elections.
Security of ambassadors was also discussed. The advisor also said that the commitments made by the Bangladesh government with various countries will continue.
In response to the question that if Sheikh Hasina is in India, there will be any impact on the relationship between India and Bangladesh, he said, if a person is in a country, why will the relationship with that country be destroyed? Bilateral relations are a big and broad subject.
When asked what is the view of the current council regarding the persecution of minority communities in various media and the propaganda being carried out from India, he said that the government never does propaganda. Neither wills us. In this case you (media) have an opportunity to play a role. He called upon the country's media to play an active role against propaganda.
