DMP issues traffic guideline for Martyred Intellectuals' Day

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today issued a guideline for traffic movements on the Martyred Intellectuals Day on December 14. According to the guideline, the President, Chief Adviser, Chief Justice, advisory council members, foreign diplomats and government high officials and leaders of various organisations will pay their tributes at Mirpur Martyred Intellectuals Memorial in between 4 am and 9.30 am.

The guideline suggested alternative routes for ordinary buses, trucks, covered vans, cars, microbuses, CNG run three-wheelers and rickshaw vans avoiding Mirpur Mazar Road area from Mazar Road Crossing to Mirpur 1 Crossing during that time on Saturday. It said Mirpur-bound vehicles from Ashulia via Beribadh will have to use Shah Ali Thana road by turning left from Nawaberbagh crossing

Transports which usually move to Shah Ali shrine via Mazar road will have to use Darussalam road from Technical Intersection. Vehicles plying Gabtoli from Mirpur 10 to Gabtoli via Mazar road have been asked to make a u-turn at Tanin Gap through Nawaberbagh crossing or Diabari crossing and Brothers Gap. Vehicles heading towards Dhaka from Gabtoli will make left turn from Brothers Gap and use Diabari Embankment Crossing,

Nawaberbagh Crossing and then Gudaraghat and Rainkhola Crossing (Zoo Road). 
Transports from Darussalam Police Station area to various destinations will avoid Community Center No-10 Road and use Golartek, Palpara Ghat, Gabtoli Embankment Road, Diabari and Nawaberbagh Crossing. 
DMP requested city dwellers, vehicle owners and workers in implementing the guideline.
