Dolphin washes ashore in floodwater
The locals caught the dolphin at the Barua Para area of ward no. 9 in Harualchari Union of the upazila around 12 pm on Wednesday (August 21). It is then released back into the water.
A local named Shanto Barua said that the dolphin got caught in the net while fishing in the flood water. After cutting the net, it was rescued and released back into the water.
“The weight of the dolphin is approximately 70 to 80 kg and five feet long. It is believed to flow from the nearby Halda River,” he added.
