Internet service may be disrupted for 4 hours
Bandwidth services of all circuits connected to Kuakata Landing Station in Patuakhali will be closed for four hours from Saturday night. The service will be suspended for the installation of the 'lightning filter' of the country's second submarine cable system at Kuakata.
During this time the submarine cable circuits from Cox's Bazar Landing Station will be operational as usual. Internet service may be disrupted from 2:00 p.m. today to 6:00 a.m. tomorrow for maintenance work. Bangladesh Submarine Cables PLC (BSCPLC) informed of this information in a press release last Friday.
The notification also informed that customers may experience slow internet due to the four hours of maintenance work. Internet service may be interrupted. BSCPLC authorities have expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience to the customers.
