Islamic parties propose several reforms to chief adviser
Leaders of seven Islamic parties proposed several reforms in the meeting with the interim government's chief adviser Nobel-laureate economist Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. One of them is that no one can be prime minister more than twice.
Secretary General of Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis, Maulana Mamunul Haque came up with the development while speaking to journalists after the meeting with the Chief Adviser at State Guest House Jamuna on Saturday.
He said, we have proposed several reforms in the meeting with the chief adviser. We have demanded radical reform of the election system. Trust and faith in Allah should be restored in the constitution. There should be no anti-Islamic law. No one should be prime minister more than twice.

Maulana Mamunul Haque said, we have demanded speedy trial of all murders without delay, if necessary, trial should be done through the tribunal. All the cases against Hefazat activists have been demanded to be withdrawn within one month.

He also said that we have responded to the chief adviser's call for cooperation in the coming days. I have demanded to hold elections without undue delay by making necessary reforms. No specific time has been fixed in this regard.
Earlier, the meeting started at 3 pm. Leaders of Khelafat Majlish, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish, Hefazat-e Islami, Jamiat Ulama Islami, Khilafat Andolon and Nezami Islam participated in it. The chief adviser will hold a separate meeting with some parties and alliances till 8 pm.
