Kangana Ranaut Shares Video Of Death Threat Over New Film, Seeks Cops' Help

Renowned Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has repeatedly been involved in controversies about her personal life. She is more discussed in real life than in reels. The actress is currently busy promoting her new movie ‘Emergency’

However, the Sikh community claims that the story shown in the movie is “degrading their dignity”. Before this, they demanded to ban the release of the film. Now the Bollywood Queen has started receiving direct death threats!

A video went viral on social media, where Vicky Thomas Singh, an influential Sikh leader of Punjab, is seen threatening Kangana. In that video, the Sikh leader says, “History cannot be changed. If they portray Sikhs as terrorists, remember what happened to the person (Indira Gandhi) whose movie you are doing. Who were Satwant Singh and Beant Singh? We will offer our heads to but those who can offer heads can also chop them off.”

Another person in the video says, “If you release this movie, Sardars will beat you with chappals (shoes). You (Kangana) already received a slap. We are a very proud Indian. If we see you anywhere in my country and my Maharashtra, not only as a Sikh and a proud Marathi, but for all my Hindu, Christian, and Muslim brothers, we will welcome you with shoes.”

Former Bigg Boss contestant and controversial actor Ajaz Khan is also seen in that video. Kangana herself also saw this video message. She shared it on her X handle and wrote, “Please watch this video” – where she tagged the police of Maharashtra, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh.

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) chief Harjinder Singh Dhami recently raised the demand for an FIR against Kangana Ranaut in a press conference. He pointed out that “there have been several incidents in the past when Sikh sentiments were hurt due to misrepresentation of the community in films”.

Seeking a ban on the film, he called the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) “biased” and called for the inclusion of Sikh members in the censor board. Raghbir Singh, chief ghani of Akal Takht, also claimed that the film “deliberately misrepresents the character of Sikhs as separatists, which is part of a deeper conspiracy”.
