Maritime ports issued signal 3 as low develops over Bay of Bengal
A low-pressure area has formed over North Bay and the adjoining area. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate to strong over North Bay.
Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions and one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka & Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over Khulna, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions due to low pressure.
Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla, and Payra seaports have been asked to hoist local cautionary number three to avoid maritime accidents.
All fishing boat and trawlers over North Bay have been advised remain close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
