Modi Tells Putin India Supports Quick Restoration of Peace in Ukraine
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Tuesday he wanted a swift return to peace in Ukraine and supported efforts for that, in talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"We have been in constant touch over the conflict between Russia and Ukraine," Modi told Putin, at the opening day of the BRICS summit in Kazan. "We believe that disputes should only be resolved peacefully. We totally support efforts to quickly restore peace and stability."
