No customer can withdraw more than Tk 2 lakh from bank
A customer can withdraw a maximum of Tk 2 lakh from an account with the banks of the country. No customer can withdraw more than Tk 2 lakh because of a lack of security.
Bangladesh Bank made the directive in an urgent message to the managing directors of the banks on Saturday (August 10) night.
The instruction will be applicable only for this week.
The directive comes as the law and order situation remains unpredictable since police have not resumed work following deadly attacks and clashes during the uprising that led to the fall of Sheikh Hasina on August 5.
