Prep meet on August celebrations held in Burichang

At the initiative of Burichang Upazila Administration in the district, a preparatory meeting with the aim of implementing the various programmes of the mourning month of August, including the formation of a terrorism and sabotage prevention committee was held at the upazila nirbahi officer's conference room on Wednesday.
The programmes include observing National Mourning Day on the 49th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August 15, 94th birth anniversary celebration of Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib on August 8, and 75th birth anniversary celebration of Captain Sheikh Kamal on August 5.
Burichang Upazila Parishad Chairman valiant freedom fighter Akhlaq Haider spoke as the chief guest in the meeting while Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sahida Akhter chaired it.
The special guests were Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sonia Haque, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Mir Hossain Mithu, Upazila Parishad Vice-Chairman Jasim Uddin, Female Vice-Chairman Professor Lovely Akhter, Secondary Education Officer Abdul Mannan, OC Abul Hasanat Khandakar, Election Officer Humayun Kabir, Primary Education Officer Fauzia Akhter, Social Welfare Officer Kabir Ahmed, Rural Development Officer Russell Sarwar, Palli Sanchay Bank Manager Habibur Rahman, Youth Development Officer Saidul Islam Chowdhury, Fisheries Officer Joy Bhowmik, Women Affairs Officer Fatematuz Zohra, Principal Mofizul Islam, Agriculture Officer Arfina Akhter, Tathya Apa Officer Khadija Akhtar, UP Chairmen Alhaj Engineer Joynal Abedin, Alhaj Abu Taher, Haji Md Abdul Karim and Haji Md Billal Hossain, Acting Chairman Mizanur Rahman and Md Saheb Ali. After the preparatory meeting, a discussion meeting was held to observe the National Public Service Day.
