Prof Niaz Ahmed Khan to become DU VC
Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan of the Department of Development Studies at Dhaka University (DU) is being appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor (VC) of DU.
A high-level government source confirmed this on Monday (August 26). Chancellor President Md. Sahabuddin has already given the nod, the source also said.
Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan is serving as the VC of the private Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB).
Professor Niaz has been contributing to the development of academic and functional development management in Bangladesh, Thailand, and the UK for a long time by receiving higher education and research at the University of Oxford, the University of Wales Swansea, and the Asian Institute of Technology.
