PSC's clarification on the fake notification circulated on social media recently regarding the cancellation of the Railway Assistant Engineer exam

Memorandum No. 80.00.0000.103.11.011.22(Part-1)-232 dated 29 August 2024, 12 Bhadra 1431 regarding cancellation of Railway Assistant Engineer Examination (although according to calendar 29 August 2024 AD is 14 Bhadra 1431 Bengali in Bengal) A notification has been published on social media (Facebook). It is mentioned that "a report was published on private TV channel 24 about the leakage of MCQ type written exam questions of various categories of Railway Sub-Assistant Engineer held on 05 July 2024. Following this, the Bangladesh Public Service Commission constituted an inquiry committee. In the said inquiry report The exam has been canceled as the question has been leaked. The next exam schedule will be notified through notification." The notice is shown to be issued under the forged signature of Mr. Abdullah Al Mamun, Controller of Examinations (Non-Cadre).

The real truth is that this notification has not been issued by the Bangladesh Public Works Commission Secretariat. This notification is fake notification. The Bangladesh Public Works Commission Secretariat's investigation related to the examination is still ongoing. The investigation committee has not yet submitted its report and the information regarding the cancellation of the examination is not correct. The matter has been made public and all concerned are requested not to be misled.
