RAB Did Not Use Life-Taking Bullets on Students: Munim Ferdous

Lieutenant Colonel Munim Ferdous, director of RAB’s Legal and Media Wing, claimed that the force never used bullets of lethal weapons on the students and people during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement. He said, “RAB expressed solidarity with the mass uprising. We are working to make the revolution successful.”

He made the claim while replying to a question from journalists at a press conference organized at RAB’s media center in the capital’s Karwan Bazar on Sunday (October 6). Munim Ferdous said, “More than 90 police officers are accused. When asked if anyone in RAB has been made accused or not, he said that no member of RAB has fled. No member of RAB observed work abstention.”

“RAB has members from eight forces. About 44 percent of the 10,000 members are from the police force. RAB had no problem. RAB never used bullets of lethal weapons on students,” he said.
