Rizvi Fumes Over Hilsa Exports to India, Calls for Prioritizing Domestic Needs

BNP senior joint secretary general Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi is furious about sending hilsa to India. In response, Rizvi said, “It is impossible to bow down and accept all the words of neighboring countries. Because India does not give an inch of exemption to Bangladesh. Hilsa should not be given to them. Hilsa should be exported only when the country’s needs are fulfilled.”

Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said these at the founding anniversary of Jatiyatabadi Palli Chikitsok Association at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) in the capital on Wednesday (September 25). “There will be import and export. However, the relationship between India and Bangladesh should be friendly. Let no one act lordly here,” he said.

Addressing the Interim Government, Rizvi said that such a reform can be done so that the democratic practice of the country does not stop. With the goal of free and fair elections in the democratic system, various sectors including the Election Commission should be reformed and we should proceed towards quick elections. It should not take much time to reform the electoral system.
