Rock band ‘Chirkutt’ breaks up again
The country’s renowned rock band ‘Chirkutt’ has broken up again. Jahid Nirob, who started his journey with the band by playing the harmonium in the song for the movie ‘Aynabaji’, has now ended his nine-year journey with the band. Jahid Nirob’s departure from the band was announced on Monday (December 24), the day Chirkutt’s new song was released.
Sharmin Sultana Sumi, one of the band members, confirmed the matter to the media, saying that Nirob is no longer with them. However, she wished him a great success. Meanwhile, Chirkutt has released a new song amidst the news of the band’s breakup.
The song titled ‘Jana Holo Na’ was released on the band’s social media page. The lyrics, composition and vocals were provided by Sharmin Sultana Sumi. Music and sound producer Pavel Arin. Chirkutt’s fourth album will be released next year. Earlier, founding member Pintu Ghosh had left the Chirkutt band.
