Special security check post activities at Darussalam Thana continues

DMP has started security special check post activities at various important and strategic places including the entry way of Dhaka to protect the law and order of the capital and recovery of illegal weapons, drugs and goods and prevent robbery.

In continuation of that, the Darussalam Thana Police started check post operation at various important spots of Parbat Cinema Hall area adjacent to Amin Bazar Bridge from last Sunday afternoon.

Two vigilant police teams led by Darussalam Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Raqib-ul-Hossain and Inspector (Investigation) Mohammad Yasin Shikdar conducted vigorous check post operations in front of Parbat Cinema Hall and in front of Mirpur Bangla College from 4 pm to 12 am.

Darussalam Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Yasin Shikdar said, “DC (Mirpur) Mohammad Maqsuder Rahman is supervising the whole matter. We have been running this activity since last Sunday. Basically, this initiative has been taken to ensure the safety of the residents of the police station area.” Deputy Commissioner of Media and Public Relations Department of DMP Muhammad Talebur Rahman said, “A special check post operation of DMP was conducted in Basila, Babubazar, Postagola Bridge, Signboard, Demra Staff

Quarter, Basabo Street (Kamalapur) of Sabuj Bagh, Gabtali, 300 feet of Khilkhet, Abdullahpur Bridge and Kamarpara and Dhaur Bridge area of Turag of DMP. This special check post operation will continue in two shifts every day till further instructions.”

“The first shift will run from 4 pm to 12 am and the second shift will run from 12 pm to 8 am. DMP is seeking the cooperation of city dwellers and drivers and passengers of all vehicles entering Dhaka during the check post operation,” he also said.
