The victory of new generation

The victory of new generation, the victory of the rebellious students, respected teachers, this victory of the freedom-loving people of Bengal. As soon as the news spread that Sheikh Hasina left power on Monday, the students and the crowd erupted into frenzy. Millions of people occupied the streets of the capital Dhaka.

It seemed that Bangladesh has become independent again, broken the cruel shackles of subjugation. The exuberance of the students showed how angry the people of the country were towards Sheikh Hasina.

Why so much anger? Sheikh Hasina has run Bangladesh in a dictatorial style. According to the constitution he is the prime minister but in reality he has played the role of a 'dictator'. He trampled on the individual freedom, civil rights and parliamentary norms of the people of Bangladesh.

By seizing state power, she gradually imposed control over every part of the state apparatus. Especially the police force and the RAB were made a kind of party servants. And these servants put locks on the faces of people who walk in the path of justice and speak the truth. At gunpoint, opposition parties and newspapers and TV media were silenced.

Sheikh Hasina created such a situation that- 'Whatever she says and does is right, it can never be wrong. No one had the courage to speak against his words and actions. Starting from ministers, MPs, political leaders, judges, bureaucrats, police officials, journalists, NGO leaders, business leaders, and industrialists, no one could stand up and speak in front of her. Stay away from talking about justice.

In particular, Sheikh Hasina's various strategies and tricks to rig the national elections have given rise to extreme anger against her among the common people. In organizing the last few elections, she and her party Awami League used the power of and the influence of various state forces. She took power with tricks. Mass people could not vote. That anger exploded this day.
