Tuku, Palak, Saikat taken on 10-day remand
Former deputy speaker of Jatiya Sangsad Shamsul Haque Tuku, former minister of state for posts, telecommunications and information technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak, and Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Dhaka University unit General Secretary Tanvir Hasan Saikat have been taken on ten-day remand each.
Judge Rashedul Alam of the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court granted the remand plea on Thursday afternoon.
Last Wednesday, former prime minister Sheikh Hasina’s private industry and investment adviser Salman F Rahman and former law minister Anisul Huq were both taken into a 10-day remand each in a case filed over the killings of two people during quota reform movement.
