Villagers' resistance meeting to eradicate drugs permanently

Due to the increase in drug addiction in Madhyapara of Baralidha village of Sreepur Upazila of Magura, the residents organized a discussion meeting to build social resistance. In the discussion meeting, local residents gave their views on how to prevent drugs. Locals provide input to eradicate drugs by identifying those involved in drug supply and taking legal action. Everyone is committed to eliminating drugs. They are commited to build a social movement against drugs. As part of the widespread social movement against drugs, the harmful aspects of different levels of drugs are discussed with the parents. To raise awareness against drugs, preparations are being made to provide information about the physical and mental effects of drugs easily to people in the future.

In the meeting, it was decided to form 3 committees for drug eradication. Who will hold a meeting every month to eliminate drugs in the village. Discuss drug addiction prevention with parents of drug addicts. Will patrol the neighborhood every week. Legal action will be taken against drug dealers.

In the event, mass signatures were taken from people against drugs. Measures have been taken to prevent another child from touching the drug. From  class one to higher secondary students are asked to stay at home after Maghrib prayers. And if anyone hangs out in the shop or on the street, action will be taken against him. Abdus Salam Molla, Lawyer Saifur Rahman Saif, Union Parishad Member Nuruzzaman Sohail Molla, Mostak Khan, Nazmul Molla, Billal Khan, Azam Khan, Rubel Sheikh, Kumaresh Sarkar, Ashutosh Malakar, Ashok Sarkar, Raju Ahmed gave speeches on the occasion. Coordinator Liton Molla, Sajib Molla, Ayan Sharif, Arafat Islam Mithu, Limon Fakir, Jahangir, Ramzan Ali, Swadhin Molla, Bayjid Molla, Azmi took many initiatives and implemented the program.
