Viral list of essential commodity MRPs fake: DNCRP
The Directorate of National Consumers' Right Protection (DNCRP) has confirmed that the list setting up prices of daily essential commodities was not issued on behalf of the government.
Confirming the matter in a message on Saturday, DNCRP Director General AHM Shafiquzzaman said, “Recently, a market price list of daily essential commodities – allegedly set by the government - is being circulated on social media
“This has come under the notice of the directorate. The prices of the products mentioned have not been fixed by the government. The DNCRP has requested consumers to be cautious about such misleading information.”
