Wet outfield delays Afghanistan-New Zealand Test
Overnight rain and a wet outfield delayed the toss in the one-off Test between Afghanistan and New Zealand near the Indian capital New Delhi on Monday.
Umpires looked at the pitch at the ground at Greater Noida and scheduled another inspection for 11:00 am (0530 GMT).
The Afghans, led by Hashmatullah Shahidi, are nominally the home side and come into the match without several top players including leg-spinner Rashid Khan.It is only Afghanistan's 10th Test match.
After this, Tim Southee's New Zealand will tour Sri Lanka for a two-Test series, then return to India for three five-day matches.
